About our Ministry
SONS OF THUNDER
This was the name that Jesus gave to James and John in the book of Mark 3:17. John was not much different from other men in town. As a matter of fact, he epitomized the gruff, swarthy, macho man of the sea recognized around the world. Able to hold his own in any scuff and marked by the scars of many personal skirmishes, he had quite a reputation.
We know John and his brother James as apostles. We know them as pillars of
the church, men who carried the truth of Christ into a pagan world. The early
church looked to them for direction and example. They clarified for all Christians
what it meant to live in relationship with Jesus Christ. John in particular,
was called upon by God to write five of the books we now have in our New Testament.
This "Son of Thunder" has been referred to as the apostle of love
because his writings are filled with references to love.

So, whereas we members of the Sons of Thunder Motorcycle Club were once in this world then set free by the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ feel that we have been called to go back in and carry the truth of Christ and share his love with other bikers. Our ministry is to reach out to all motorcyclists, and make disciples of those who choose a life with Christ, to proclaim the gospel and encourage Christian fellowship with the love of God.
Jesus gave these two commandments. First; love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second; love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these - Mark 12:30,31.
We members of the Sons of Thunder Motorcycle Club all share in the vision that "Each One - Reach One" with the love of our Lord Jesus Christ and lead them into the Kingdom of God.
